Ciana Lins

Hi! My name is Ciana Lins and I am a student at Glass Cockpit Aviation. I began flying last October, after I graduated college with my Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Boise State University. I am originally from Maui, Hawaii, beyond blessed to grow up in such a wonderful place. A big part of why I fly isn’t just personal —it’s purpose-driven. Being from Maui, I grew up knowing what it means to have and give Aloha. Love, kindness, caring and compassion are the four fundamentals that make up the island I call home. Treating everyone as family, no matter who they are or what they do. I have been brought up knowing this, and carried it with me as I transitioned to life in Idaho. Using aviation to help others would be an incredible way to blend my passion with service, and that is the vision that drives me every day. I hope to volunteer with organizations like Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) in Nampa, whose work in reaching isolated communities inspires me, and contribute to meaningful missions supporting wildland firefighters in McCall. Ultimately, my dream is to become a commercial pilot. To be able to fly back home to Hawaii—and be the person behind the yoke this time—to give back to the community that raised me into who I am today. I’m young, determined, and deeply motivated to achieve my goals — no matter how difficult the journey may be. Aviation is a never-ending learning experience, and I’m ready for any challenge that comes my way!

Spencer Seeliger

Hello, my name is Spencer Seeliger. I’m 20 years old and have lived in Boise for nearly as long. I am an instrument student at Glass Cockpit currently and am also working to get my bachelors degree in business economics at Boise State University. I earned my PPL with GCA in March, studying under Lucien. I’ve always had an interest in aviation and took my first steps towards a career in the skies last summer, when I signed up for ground school after a discovery flight. I think the greatest thing about aviation isn’t the inherent ability to fly or where it gets you but how much you get to learn everyday on the way to becoming a better pilot. The Cammie Patch Scholarship meant a lot to me because it allows me to jump right back into that learning environment and get to know the crew at GCA better. Another great part of flying is the incredible community around it and I can’t thank that community enough for providing me this opportunity and countless others. My goals as a pilot have always been to fly for a legacy airline at some point. On the journey to that career I’d love to make other stops at this point though, as a CFI, in the Private aviation works, flying fire, or even as a business owner or operator. I really look forward to where this path takes me and what other pilots I’ll be able to help along the way.

Taycee Harper

Hi, my name is Taycee Harper. I grew up in Paul, Idaho, where I learned the value of hard work while working on a farm. After high school, I pursued higher education and earned two associate’s degrees while also playing college basketball for four years — an experience that taught me discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Two years ago, I discovered aviation, and it quickly became my passion. I am currently a student at Glass Cockpit Aviation, where I continue to grow as a pilot and expand my training. I also hold a tailwheel endorsement and work for Crop Jet Aviation, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the industry. One of the most exciting milestones in my journey so far was receiving a scholarship from Glass Cockpit Aviation. I was overly excited and incredibly grateful to be chosen. It gave me confidence in my path and reinforced my belief that hard work pays off. That scholarship wasn’t just financial support — it was a turning point, reminding me that I am capable of chasing and achieving big dreams in aviation. Looking ahead, I aspire to build a career as either a commercial airline pilot or a fixed-wing medevac pilot, combining my dedication, resilience, and passion for helping others with the skills I continue to develop in the cockpit.
We thrive on our students’ success! At Glass Cockpit Aviation, every milestone a student accomplishes is an exciting event for all of us! Students will come here as a customer, but leave as a good friend. Be prepared to learn a lot, and enjoy your time here at Glass Cockpit Aviation!
