Ryan’s aviation career started when he was a senior in high school when a class he took placed him at an FBO on the Boise airport. During that class he was able to tag along during some of the charter flights, and from that day on he was hooked. Ryan attended the University of North Dakota where he received two Bachelors degrees, one in Commercial Aviation, and the other in Air Traffic Control. Once he graduated he and his wife decided they had spent enough time in the frozen north and decided to move back to Boise. Ryan is an experienced instructor who has been flight instructing ever since he moved back to the area.

Ryan also has been designated a Gold Seal Instructor by the FAA.
