Jim got his shirt-tail cut in 2001, and there was no stopping him after that. He earned all of his flight ratings here in Boise, including his CFI, CFII, and MEI. He worked as a Commercial Flight Specialist at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, dodging thunderstorms in Diamond DA40’s and Piper Seminoles before returning to Boise to appease his homesick wife. In Boise he served as the chief flight instructor at Jetstream Aviation. His full-time job now is slightly less exciting, working as an accountant for Supervalu, otherwise known to the locals as Albertson’s.

When Jim isn’t counting beans or flying he is coaching his daughter’s soccer team, assisting his wife in the kitchen (dishwashing), or belaying his rock-climbing son. Jim and son are teaching each other the electric guitar, to the dismay of the other members in the household, especially the dog.

Jim loves to make flying enjoyable and safe and looks forward to working with you to fulfill your dreams of flying for the first time, to tackle new challenges or to build on your confidence.
