4 Day
Multi-Engine Course Read one satisfied customer's impressions
The first day of the course will consist of all the necessary ground school, plus about 5 hours of multi-engine simulator time to equip you with the knowledge and understanding of the procedures that you will use in the aircraft. Our iGATE advanced ATD is an indespensible tool that will enable you to learn more efficiently and effectively, allowing you to practice the required manveuers and experience various possible emergency flight scenarios, while learning to effectively analyze and manage these situations. Thorough training in the simulator will maximize your training in the aircraft. Fly numerous approaches with the Garmin 430 and make your flight time more productive. This is an instrument intensive course (unless you are a VFR pilot), so your instrument proficiency level will greatly affect your level of success in the course. We recommend arriving a day early for an instrument refresher/Garmin 430 if you are not instrument proficient/current, or have never used a Garmin 430 or other IFR certified GPS for instrument approaches ($495/day). If you choose not to use this option, please be sure to study the manual and simulator for the Garmin 430 (found on Garmin’s website), and familiarize yourself with the instrument approaches into the Boise and Caldwell airports. Day 2 and 3 will be spent in the Seneca I, for up to 8.0 hours of flight time. Day 4 is reserved for your multi-engine checkride. (1.5 - 2.0 hrs approx.) Prerequisites: Private pilot certificate IFR rating if completing IFR multi-engine program. (currency and proficiency required)
